Hello, My name is Jan Ševčík, but you can call me JJ. I´m from Czech Republic and I´m in Belfast, Northern Ireland for 2 weeks Erasmus programme. I´m working for Watson & Co. Chartered Marketing with Trainer Christine Watson. This traineeship provides me with numerous opportunities to develop new skills in marketing and graphic design. I would like to learn as much as possible to improve my marketing knowledge.

Free Photography and Videography Courses at Apple Store

Few people know that Apple offers a free course on creating and improving photos and videos with iPhone features. I plan to attend with Sophie, a fellow marketing trainee, and practice our skills together. I’m excited to learn about time-lapse, camera settings, and lighting tips.  

Go Succeed

Go Succeed, led by Northern Ireland’s eleven local councils, offers expert business advice and support. My trainer, Christine Watson, hosts free online webinars as part of this program. I plan to join the lunchtime sessions to enhance my skills on platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Canva, while also gaining a deeper understanding of marketing strategies overall.      

How to Use the Action Camera DJI Osmo Pocket 2

I also need to learn how to use an action camera effectively. Christine has invested in a DJI Pocket 2 Creator Combo with additional gear like a microphone for webinars, meetings, and client content creation. The goal is to capture high-quality photos, videos, and audio, and edit them for social media. While it seems simple, mastering the camera for the best shots requires detailed knowledge. I also plan to learn how to use other accessories like a tripod and a ring light.  

Learning How to Blog and Use WordPress

As part of my training, I aim to learn how to blog effectively and use WordPress to publish content on a website and the worldwide web. This will help me understand how to share marketing ideas and insights with a wider audience.  

WorldHost Training

During my two weeks in Northern Ireland, my trainer and host Christine Watson is delivering a WorldHost course for La Mon Country Hotel and Country Club. Observing this training is a unique opportunity to learn about customer service excellence and hospitality, which are essential in the marketing world.  

Cultural Experience

Living and working in Northern Ireland – it is an incredible opportunity to experience the culture of another country. From the friendly people to the vibrant local traditions, I’m enjoying immersing myself in a different way of life while expanding my personal and professional horizons.  

About Me

I’m Jan Ševčík, an 18-year-old student from a small town in Czechia. I study Computer Science and Information Technology at the Secondary School of Electrotechnical and Mechanical Engineering. During my free time, you can find me playing football, because that’s where I find the most peace and enjoyment.
