Hi! My name is Jan Vopalecký, and I’m currently participating in a two-week Erasmus program in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I work with Christine Watson, my trainer at Watson & Co. Chartered Marketing. This experience provides me with a great opportunity to enhance my skills in website development, WordPress, and English proficiency.

Photography Course at Apple Store:

I recently discovered that the Apple Store offers free courses on photography, videography, and more. I plan to attend one of these sessions to explore new functions and techniques while learning how to optimize camera settings.

My trainer, Christine Watson, creates and delivers fully funded and free-to-attend in-person seminars for small businesses. She also runs various online webinars. The seminar I plan to attend is about what businesses need to rank well on search engines, be visible online, and connect with their ideal audience. It covers search engine marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization (SEO) of websites.  

WordPress Courses:

WordPress is an accessible tool for creating websites, but as a coder, I have limited experience with its design-oriented features. I aim to enhance my familiarity with WordPress and explore the functionality of plugins like Yoast. Yoast is a plugin designed to optimize content for SEO, helping websites rank better on search engines. I first heard about Yoast from Christine Watson and look forward to understanding its full potential.  

Improving My English:

One of my primary goals during this Erasmus experience is to improve my fluency in English. I chose Northern Ireland specifically to challenge myself and gain practical experience in communicating in an English-speaking environment.  

About Me:

My name is Jan Vopalecký. I’m 17 years old and live in Budweis, Czechia. I study IT with a specialization in programming. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games and watching movies.
