Eastside Arts have a number of Artful Ageing creative workshops available for seniors this Learn-uary.
All workshops are free to attend during #LearnuaryNI, which runs from January 1 to February 14.
January 18 & 25 and February 1: Crochet WorkshopsÂ
Needles and hooks at the ready for some yarn based fun in C.S. Lewis Square in East Belfast. Learn knitting and crochet skills, have some fun with pom-poms, finger knitting and yarn-wrapping with Yarn Forward. Experts welcome but no experience necessary!
Materials supplied.

February 8: Ceramics Workshop
As part of #LearnuaryNI you could join in this free five-week programme where you will learn basic pottery techniques of hand building and decoration using coloured slips. Workshops will be delivered in a relaxed atmosphere and will suit all abilities.
The classes will centre on making cups, saucers and plates decorated with images linked to life in East Belfast; both its industrial heritage (bakeries, Inglis biscuits, Sirocco tea and Belfast ‘Delft’ pottery) personal stories and shared memories.

After the #LearnuaryNI campaign (which ends 14 February) other learning opportunities are available, right up until June 21 in Textile Art, Painting and Digital Fabrication.
